Romania & Bulgaria: Benign weather helps Romania and Bulgaria harvest large barley crops

Romania and Bulgaria enjoyed the same benign weather conditions as Ukraine this year and harvested large barley crops, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in August.

According to local sources, Romania harvested 2.1 mln tonnes of barley (last year 1.2 mln tonnes), Bulgaria - 590 thousand tonnes (last year 550).

Export shipments by July 25 were already 470 thousand tonnes, while North European harvests are much delayed.
